Condition 3-rest breaks

22. Condition 3-rest breaks



(1) A child who is employed must be given a rest break of at least 30 minutes
after every 3 hours of work.

(2) The rest break may be paid or unpaid.

(3) A child who is employed must be given a break of at least 12 hours between
finishing one shift of work and commencing the next.

Note This section does not apply to the employment of a child in a family
business or in entertainment-see sections 25(b) and 28(1)(b).
