Transitional provision for registration of credit providers

48. Transitional provision for registration of credit providers

A person who-

   (a)  immediately before the commencement of this section was an exempt
        credit provider within the meaning of the
        Credit (Administration) Act 1984 or a person to whom section 37 of
        that Act did not apply; and

   (b)  is not registered as a credit provider under this Act-

is not guilty of an offence under section 11-

   (c)  if the person makes an application for registration in accordance with
        section 13 within 3 months after the commencement of this
        section-during the period before the person is registered; or

   (d)  if the person does not make such an application-during the period of 3
        months after that commencement.
