Functions of associate judges

17ABA. Functions of associate judges



(1) The Chief Judge may assign duties to an associate judge.

(2) An associate judge must carry out the duties from time to time assigned to
him or her under subsection (1).

(3) Without limiting subsection (1), an associate judge must-

   (a)  assist in the general business of the court; and



   (b)  perform such duties and exercise such powers and authorities as are
        imposed or conferred on the associate judge by or under this Act or
        any other Act or by the Rules.
