Additional duties of the Secretary

21. Additional duties of the Secretary



(1) The Secretary must take all reasonable steps to eradicate State prohibited
weeds from all land in the State.

(2) In relation to roadsides on Crown land the Secretary must take all
reasonable steps to eradicate regionally prohibited weeds.

(3) Subsection (2) does not apply to-

   (a)  a freeway or an arterial road within the meaning of the
        Road Management Act 2004; or

   (b)  Crown land held under a lease or licence.

(4) The duties imposed by this section are in addition to those imposed by
this Part on the Secretary as a land owner.
