Power to appoint new arbitrator or umpire

9. Power to appoint new arbitrator or umpire

Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the parties to the arbitration
agreement, where a person has a power to appoint an arbitrator or umpire, that
power extends to the appointment of a new arbitrator or umpire in place of an
arbitrator or umpire who dies or otherwise ceases to hold office.
