Granting or refusing to grant licence
22. Granting or refusing to grant licence
(1) The Authority must grant a licence to an applicant if the Authority is
satisfied that the applicant is eligible under this Act to hold the licence.
(2) The Authority must refuse to grant a licence if the Authority is satisfied
that the applicant is ineligible under this Act to hold the licence.
(3) If the Authority refuses to grant a licence, the Authority must refund the
prescribed licence fee to the applicant.
(4) A licence must be in the form approved by the Authority, and must include
the number of the licence.
(5) The Authority is not required to conduct a hearing to determine whether to
grant a licence or refuse to grant a licence.
