When does a freezing order take effect?

31H. When does a freezing order take effect?



(1) A freezing order takes effect on the date and at the time that notice of
the freezing order is given to the financial institution in accordance with
section 31G.

(2) Subject to section 31I, a freezing order ceases to be in force on-

   (a)  the making of a restraining order in respect of the money in the
        account; or

   (b)  the expiration of 72 hours after the time on which the freezing order
        took effect-

whichever occurs first.
