Visits by lawyers and their assistants

40. Visits by lawyers and their assistants



(1) A lawyer acting in the course of the lawyer's practice may at the times
fixed by the regulations enter a prison and visit a prisoner.

(2) As well as the visits authorized by subsection (1) a lawyer acting in the
course of the lawyer's practice may with the permission of the Minister, the
Secretary or the Governor enter a prison and visit a prisoner.

(3) With the Governor's permission, a person authorized by a lawyer to act on
the lawyer's behalf in connection with the lawyer's practice may enter a
prison and visit a prisoner.
