Release of information to "family members"

30G. Release of information to "family members"

The Secretary must not disclose information under section 30A to a person
included on the victims register who is a family member within the meaning of
section 30A(1) unless that person can show, to the satisfaction of the
Secretary, that he or she is or was the primary care giver or next of kin of-

   (a)  the person against whom the offence for which the prisoner is serving
        a sentence of imprisonment was committed; or

   (b)  the person against whom the relevant offence was committed for which
        the offender is or was subject to an extended supervision order, or an
        application for an extended supervision order.
