115B. Transitional provision-Corrections and Other Justice Legislation
(Amendment) Act 2006



(1) This Act as amended by section 6 of the Corrections and Other Justice
Legislation (Amendment) Act 2006 applies to warrants issued by the Adult
Parole Board or a magistrate on or after the commencement of section 6 of that
Act.

(2) Division 6 of Part 8, as inserted by section 7 of the Corrections and
Other Justice Legislation (Amendment) Act 2006, applies to any change of name
application received by the Registrar before the commencement of section 7 of
that Act, if the change of name had not been registered before that
commencement.

(3) In subsection (2)-

change of name application has the same meaning as in section 79A; Registrar
means the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages under the
Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 1996.





(4) Division 7 of Part 8, as inserted by section 7 of the Corrections and
Other Justice Legislation (Amendment) Act 2006, applies to-

   (a)  warrants issued on or after the commencement of section 7 of that Act;
        and

   (b)  warrants issued before the commencement of section 7 of that Act that
        have not been executed on that commencement.
