Jurisdiction of coroner to investigate a fire
31. Jurisdiction of coroner to investigate a fire
(1) A coroner has jurisdiction to investigate a fire if the fire occurred in
or partly in Victoria and the coroner believes it is desirable or the Country
Fire Authority or the Metropolitan Fire Brigade requests an investigation.
(2) A coroner must investigate a fire if the Attorney-General directs.
