65. Statement of account not needed in certain circumstances

Nothing in section 61 or 64 requires a credit provider to give to a debtor a
statement of account in respect of a billing cycle of a continuing credit
contract where-

   (a)  during the billing cycle an amount was not entered in the account of
        the debtor kept by the credit provider and at the end of the billing
        cycle there was not an amount entered in the account and owing by or
        to the debtor;



   (b)  during the billing cycle-

   (i)  the credit provider wrote off the debt of the debtor under the
        contract; and

   (ii) no other entries were made in the account of the debtor kept by the
        credit provider; or

   (c)  during the whole of the billing cycle and the two immediately
        preceding billing cycles, the debtor was in default under the contract
        and, before the commencement of the first-mentioned billing cycle, the
        credit provider, in accordance with the contract, exercised a right
        not to provide further credit under the contract and did not, during
        the billing cycle, provide further credit.
