Definitions

17. Definitions

In this Part-

Credit Acts means this Act, the Credit Act 1984, the
Consumer Credit (Victoria) Act 1995 and the Consumer Credit (Victoria) Code;

financial institution means-

   (a)  an authorised deposit-taking institution within the meaning of the
        Banking Act 1959 of the Commonwealth; or

   (b)  a body approved by the Governor in Council by order published in the
        Government Gazette.
