Functions of Director

11. Functions of Director

For the purposes of this Act and the Credit Acts, the Director-

   (a)  shall receive and investigate complaints from and give advice to
        natural persons in relation to matters to which this Act or the Credit
        Acts applies;

   (b)  shall keep under review the operation of this Act and the Credit Acts
        and from time to time report to the Minister on the operation of this
        Act and the Credit Acts;

   (c)  shall confer and exchange information with persons having functions
        similar to his own under the law of another State or of a Territory;
        and

   (d)  may take proceedings for an offence against this Act or the Credit
        Acts.
