11. All appointments etc. by the Governor to continue in force notwithstanding
demise of the Crown



(1) Every commission warrant or other authority for the exercise of any office
or employment of any kind or nature within Victoria issued or exercised by the
Governor or the Governor in Council or by any other person in the name and on
behalf of Her Majesty in virtue of his office or under the authority of any
Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern
Ireland or of the Parliament of Victoria or of any rules or regulations made
thereunder respectively shall continue in full force notwithstanding any
demise of the Crown and be of the same effect as if no such demise had
happened.

(2) No action suit or other process or proceeding civil or criminal in or to
which Her Majesty is a party or which has been commenced or carried on in her
name or by her authority shall by reason of her demise abate discontinue or be
in any manner affected; but every such action suit process or proceeding shall
be carried on enforced or otherwise completed or acted on in the name of the
reigning Sovereign for the time being and as if such demise had not happened.

(3) The Public Seal of the State and other Public Seals in being at the time
of the demise of the Crown shall continue and be made use of as if no such
demise had happened.
