63. Superseded references

On and after the commencement of this section, unless inconsistent with the
context or subject-matter, in any Act (other than this Act), subordinate
instrument within the meaning of the Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984 or
any other document whatever, a reference to-

   (a)  the Registration of Births Deaths and Marriages Act 1959 is deemed to
        be a reference to the
        Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 1996; and

   (b)  the Registrar of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Names is deemed to be a
        reference to the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages; and





   (c)  any register kept and maintained under section 41 of the Registration
        of Births Deaths and Marriages Act 1959 is deemed to be a reference to
        the corresponding register in the Register established under Part 7 of
        this Act.
