29A. Registrar to notify Chief Commissioner of Police of change of name of
certain sex offenders



(1) If-

   (a)  under section 63(1A) of the Sex Offenders Registration Act 2004 the
        Registrar has been notified of details in relation to a person; and

   (b)  the Registrar, at any time on or after that notification, registers a
        change of name of that person-

the Registrar must, as soon as practicable after that registration, cause
written notice of it to be given to the Chief Commissioner of Police.

(2) A notice under subsection (1) must state both the person's former name and
new name.
