Appointment of adjudicator

20. Appointment of adjudicator



(1) An adjudicator accepts an adjudication application by causing notice of
acceptance to be served on the claimant and the respondent.

(2) The acceptance takes effect when the last of the notices is served under
subsection (1).

(3) On accepting an adjudication application, the adjudicator is taken to have
been appointed to determine the application.

(4) An adjudicator must give a copy of a notice of acceptance under subsection
(1) to the Building Commission within 10 business days after accepting an
adjudication application under subsection (1).
