Applications for occupancy permits

53. Applications for occupancy permits



(1) An application for an occupancy permit under this Division (other than an
occupancy permit referred to in subsection (2)) may be made to a municipal
building surveyor or a private building surveyor appointed under Part 6 by or
on behalf of the owner of the place of public entertainment concerned.

(2) An application for an occupancy permit under this Division for a
prescribed temporary structure or for a place of public entertainment
prescribed or in a class prescribed for the purposes of this section may be
made to the Commission by or on behalf of the owner of the place of public
entertainment concerned8.

(3) An application can only be made to a private building surveyor under this
Division in conjunction with an application for an occupancy permit under
Division 1 in respect of the place of public entertainment concerned.
