Occupation must be in accordance with permit

40. Occupation must be in accordance with permit



(1) A person must not occupy a building in contravention of the current
occupancy permit or permits issued under this Division for the building.

Penalty: 100 penalty units, in the case of a natural person. 500 penalty
units, in the case of a body corporate.

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to a person who occupies a building in
accordance with an approval given under Division 3.
