Bail Act 1977 - SECT 14

Refusal of bail where person seriously injured

14. Refusal of bail where person seriously injured

Where, in the case of an injury to a person, doubt exists with respect to the
degree or quality of the offence by reason of the fact that it is uncertain
whether the person injured will die or recover, when application is made for
bail by or on behalf of the accused person a court may refuse to grant the
application until it is satisfied that the person injured will not die from
the injury.
