AMBULANCE SERVICES ACT 1986 - SECT 40
Regulations(1) The Governor in Council may make regulations for or with respect to—
S. 40(1)(a) amended by No. 51/2004 s. 21(a).
(a) the qualifications of operational staff members;
(b) the insignia of ambulance services;

(c) the insignia and uniforms of operational staff members;
(d) the use of the title and the emblem of the "Ambulance Service—Victoria";
S. 40(1)(e) substituted by No. 51/2004 s. 21(b), amended by No. 29/2021 s. 34.
(e) the use of the word "paramedic" on any vehicle that is used to operate a non‑emergency patient transport service within the meaning of the Non‑Emergency Patient Transport and First Aid Services Act 2003 by a person required to hold a licence under section 5(1) of that Act;
(f) generally prescribing any other matter or thing required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed or necessary to be prescribed to give effect to this Act.
(2) The regulations—
(a) may be of general or limited application; and
(b) may differ according to
differences in time, place or circumstance.

Division 1—General
