Board discharged from liability

42. Board discharged from liability

Any amount payable to a person under this Act may, if the Board thinks fit, be
paid to their legal practitioner or to Victoria Legal Aid if the person is an
assisted person within the meaning of the Legal Aid Act 1978 and, on that
payment, the Board is discharged from liability to that person in respect of
that amount.
