Commencement

2. Commencement



(1) Subject to this section, this Act shall be deemed to have come into
operation on the appointed day.

(2) Part VII shall come into operation on the day fixed by proclamation of the
Governor in Council published in the Government Gazette.

(3) Section 91 shall come into operation on a day to be fixed by proclamation
of the Governor in Council published in the Government Gazette.

(4) Section 264(4) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 30 June
1985.

(5) Parts I, II and VI and sections 272 and 275 come into operation on the day
on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.

(6) The item in Schedule Two which amends section 95 of the Stamps Act 1958
shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 January 1985.

(7) The item in Schedule Two which amends section 97 of the Stamps Act 1958
shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 August 1985.

(8) The items in Schedule Two which amend sections 98 and 99 of the Stamps Act
1958 shall be deemed to have come into operation on 30 June 1985.
