Powers of the Authority

163. Powers of the Authority



(1) For the purposes of this Part, the Authority may-

   (a)  approve providers of occupational rehabilitation services for the
        purposes of occupational rehabilitation programs and return to work
        plans;

   (b)  authorise groups of 2 or more employers who are required to establish
        occupational rehabilitation programs to establish a uniform
        occupational rehabilitation program for each member of the group.

(2) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Part, the Authority may
direct a particular employer to do any or all of the following-

   (a)  to establish an occupational rehabilitation program which must be
        approved by the Authority;

   (b)  to establish a risk management program;

   (c)  to use the services of an approved provider of occupational
        rehabilitation services specified by the Authority.
