Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current Acts(1) The defendant in a common law proceeding made or brought (as the case may be) after the appointed day shall give to the Authority notice in writing of the proceeding within 14 days after the defendant receives notice of the proceeding or within 28 days after the commencement of the Accident Compensation (Further Amendment) Act 1988 , whichever is the later.
(2) The common law insurer in respect of the common law proceeding shall give to the Authority notice in writing of the proceeding within 14 days after the insurer receives notice of the proceeding or within 28 days after the commencement of the Accident Compensation (Further Amendment) Act 1988 , whichever is the later.
