Application of Act

4. Application of Act



(1) Save as otherwise expressly provided and subject to the operation of the
next succeeding subsection this Act applies to and with respect to persons and
the estates of persons dying before on or after the commencement of this Act.

(2) Where an enactment repealed by this Act provides that any statutory
provision specified therein or any rule of law statutory or otherwise shall,
with or without modification, apply to or with respect to or in respect of or
have force and effect with respect to persons or the estates of persons dying
before or on or after the commencement of any Act or any other date specified
in such repealed enactment, that enactment and any provision or rule of law so
applied or given force or effect shall notwithstanding the repeal of that
enactment continue to have full force and effect according to the tenor
thereof.
