Functions of State Central Authority

69L. Functions of State Central Authority



(1) Subject to subsection (2), the State Central Authority, in Victoria-

   (a)  has all the duties of a Central Authority under the Hague Convention;
        and

   (b)  may exercise all of the powers of a Central Authority under the Hague
        Convention.

(2) The functions of the State Central Authority do not include any functions
that are functions of the Commonwealth Central Authority under the Family Law
(Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption) Regulations 1998 of the
Commonwealth.
