Inspection and copying of public records

11. Inspection and copying of public records



(1) Subject to this Act, the Keeper of Public Records shall cause reasonable
facilities to be available to the public for inspecting and obtaining copies
of public records under his control.

(2) The Keeper of Public Records may withhold any public record from
inspection or copying if the preservation of the record would be prejudiced.

(3) If a record is withheld in accordance with subsection (2), a copy shall be
provided where, in the opinion of the Keeper, it is practicable to do so
without detriment to the preservation of the record.
