Information Privacy Act 2000 - SECT 53
Vacancy, resignation
53. Vacancy, resignation
(1) The Privacy Commissioner ceases to hold office if he or she-
(a) becomes an insolvent under administration; or
(b) is convicted of an indictable offence or an offence which, if
committed in Victoria, would be an indictable offence; or
(c) nominates for election for either House of the Parliament of Victoria
or of the Commonwealth or of any other State or a Territory.
(2) The Privacy Commissioner may resign by notice in writing delivered to the
Governor in Council.
