Information Privacy Principles

14. Information Privacy Principles



(1) The Information Privacy Principles are set out in Schedule 1.

(2) Nothing in any Information Privacy Principle affects the operation or
extent of any exemption arising under Division 2 of Part 2 and those
Principles must be construed accordingly.

(3) For the purposes of this Act, an act done or practice engaged in by an
organisation is an interference with the privacy of an individual if, and only
if, the act or practice is contrary to, or inconsistent with an Information
Privacy Principle or an applicable code of practice.
