12. Freedom of Information Act 1982



Nothing in IPP 6 or any applicable code of practice modifying the application
of IPP 6 or prescribing how IPP 6 is to be applied or complied with applies
to-

   (a)  a document containing personal information, or to the personal
        information contained in a document, that is-

   (i)  a document of an agency within the meaning of the
        Freedom of Information Act 1982; or

   (ii) an official document of a Minister within the meaning of that Act-

and access can only be granted to that document or information, and that
information can only be corrected, in accordance with the procedures set out
in, and in the form required or permitted by, that Act; or

   (b)  a document containing personal information, or to the personal
        information contained in a document, to which access would not be
        granted under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 because of section
        5(3) or 6 of that Act.
