Wills Amendment Bill 2007
A Bill for an Act to amend the Wills Act 1997 and for other purposes.
The Parliament of Victoria enacts:
1 Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to amend the Wills Act
1997 to make further provision for matters of
which the Supreme Court is to be satisfied under
5 section 26 of that Act.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the day after the
day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

granting application for leave

10 4 Insertion of new section 52A
After section 52 of the Wills Act 1997 insert--
"52A Transitional provision--Wills
Amendment Act 2007
Section 26, as amended by the Wills
15 Amendment Act 2007, applies to an
application for leave to apply for an order
under section 21 made before the
commencement of section 3 of the Wills
Amendment Act 2007 that has not been
20 determined before that commencement.".
5 Repeal of Act
This Act is repealed on the first anniversary of its
commencement.
