A BILL
to revoke reservations over various areas of land and various Crown
grants and for other purposes.
Land (Revocation of Reservations) Act
1996
The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows:
PART 1PRELIMINARY
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to revoke reservations
over certain land, to revoke Crown grants in
relation to certain land and to make provision for

related matters.

This Act comes into operation on the day on
which it receives the Royal Assent.

3. Revocation of reservation and Crown grantMaffra
land
(1) The Order in Council specified in item 1 of

Schedule 1 is revoked.
(2) Crown grant Volume 1001 Folio 150 is revoked.
4. Revocation of reservation and Crown grantMarong
land
(1) The Order in Council specified in item 2 of

Schedule 1 is revoked.
(2) Crown grant Volume 3434 Folio 661 is revoked.
5. Revocation of reservationCreswick land
The Order in Council specified in item 3 of
Schedule 1 is revoked to the extent that it applies

to the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule
2.
6. Revocation of reservationEpping land
The Order in Council specified in item 4 of
Schedule 1 is revoked.

The Order in Council specified in item 5 of
Schedule 1 is revoked to the extent that it applies
to the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule
3.

Schedule 1 is revoked.
10. Revocation of reservation--South Melbourne land
(1) The Order in Council specified in item 8 of

Schedule 1 is revoked.
(2) The Order in Council specified in item 9 of
Schedule 1 is revoked to the extent that it applies
to the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule
5.

11. Revocation of reservation--Stawell land
The Order in Council specified in item 10 of
Schedule 1 is revoked to the extent that it applies
to the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule
6.

12. Revocation of reservation--Seaford land
The Orders in Council specified in item 11 of
Schedule 1 are revoked to the extent that they
apply to the land shown hatched on the plan in
Schedule 7.

13. Revocation of reservation--Jindivick land
The Order in Council specified in item 12 of
Schedule 1 is revoked to the extent that it applies
to the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule
8.

The Order in Council specified in item 13 of
Schedule 1 is revoked.

PART 3CONSEQUENCES OF REVOCATION OF
RESERVATIONS AND CROWN GRANTS
15. Consequences of revoking reservations
On the revocation by this Act of an Order in
Council reserving land--
5
(a) that land is deemed to be unalienated land of
the Crown, freed and discharged from all
trusts, limitations, reservations, restrictions,
encumbrances, estates and interests; and
(b) the appointment of any committee of

management of that land is revoked to the
extent that it relates to that land; and
(c) any regulations under section 13 of the
Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978 are
revoked to the extent that they apply to that
15
land.
16. Registrar-General and Registrar of Titles to make
necessary amendments
(1) The Registrar-General must make all entries on
the records of enrolment of any Crown grant and

on any memorial relating to land that are
necessary because of the operation of any
provision of this Act.
(2) The Registrar of Titles must make any
amendments to the Register under the Transfer of
25
Land Act 1958 that are necessary because of the
operation of any provision of this Act.
