PARLIAMENT OF VICTORIA
A BILL
to amend the Local Government Act 1989 with respect to the
appointment of Chief Executive Officers by Councils and for other
purposes.
Local Government (Amendment) Act
2005
The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows:
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to amend the Local
Government Act 1989 with respect to the
appointment of Chief Executive Officers by
Councils.

2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the day after the
day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
