A Bill for an Act to amend the Equal Opportunity Act 1995 to
include a new attribute of employment activity on the basis of which
discrimination is prohibited and for other purposes.
The Parliament of Victoria enacts:
1 Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to make amendments to
the Equal Opportunity Act 1995 to include a
new attribute of employment activity on the basis
5 of which discrimination is prohibited.
2 Commencement
(1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act comes into
operation on a day to be proclaimed.
(2) If this Act does not come into operation before
10 31 March 2008, it comes into operation on that
day.

3 Definitions
See: In section 4(1) of the Equal Opportunity
Act No.
42/1995. Act 1995 insert the following definitions--

as at "employment activity means an employee in his or

4 Attributes
After section 6(c) of the Equal Opportunity Act
1995 insert--
30 "(ca) employment activity;".

5 Repeal of Act
This Act is repealed on 31 March 2009.
