Initiated in Assembly 27 February 2002
A BILL
to amend the Electricity Industry Act 2000 to require
holders of licences to sell electricity to disclose information about
greenhouse gas emissions to consumers and for other purposes.
Electricity Industry (Amendment) Act
2002
The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows:
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to amend the
Electricity Industry Act 2000 to require holders
of licences to sell electricity to disclose
5 information about greenhouse gas emissions to
consumers.

2. Commencement
(1) This Act comes into operation on a day to be
proclaimed.
(2) If this Act does not come into operation before
5 31 December 2002, it comes into operation on that
day.

Sustainable Energy Authority Victoria
before issuing a guideline under this section
or amending a guideline issued under this
section.
30 (5) The Commission must publish each
guideline issued under this section and each
amendment of a guideline.".
