COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION ACT 2011 (NO. 13 OF 2011) - SECT 24A
Representation
(1) The parties may appear or act in person, or may be represented by another person of their choice, in any oral hearings under section 24 .(2) A person who is not admitted to practise as a legal practitioner in Tasmania does not commit an offence under or breach the provisions of the Legal Profession Act 2007 or any other Act merely by representing a party in arbitral proceedings in this State.
Note. There is no equivalent of this section in the Model Law.
