Tasmanian Consolidated Regulations
(1) In applying the Road Rules to a person, a reference to left is a reference to
(a) in relation to the person the left-hand side of the person; or
(b) in relation to a line, sign or anything else the left-hand side of the line, sign or other thing when viewed from the persons perspective.
(2) In applying the Road Rules to a person, a reference to right is a reference to
(a) in relation to the person the right-hand side of the person; or
(b) in relation to a line, sign or anything else the right-hand side of the line, sign or other thing when viewed from the persons perspective.
(3) A driver drives to the left, or right, of a line, sign or anything else only if the drivers vehicle is completely to the left, or right, of the line, sign or other thing.
