Short title_ These regulations may be cited as the _Security and Investigations Agents Regulations 2005_. _2. Commencement_ These regulations take effect on 1 January 2006. _3. Interpretation_ In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears - _"Act"_ means the _Security and Investigations Agents Act 2002_. _4. Infringement offences and penalties_ _(1)_ The offences under the provisions of the Act specified in column 1 of Schedule 1 are prescribed as infringement offences. _(2)_ The penalty specified in column 2 of Schedule 1 in relation to an infringement offence is the penalty applicable to that offence if the person accepts an infringement notice in relation to it. _5.
