WORKERS REHABILITATION AND COMPENSATION ACT 1988 - SECT 153
False or misleading statements
(1) A medical practitioner or accredited person who provides a certificate that contains any information that to his knowledge is false or misleading in a material particular is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding 100 penalty units.(2) A person shall not, in making any application, furnishing any particulars or information, or keeping any record, pursuant to this Act, make, or cause to be made, a statement or representation that to his knowledge is false or misleading in a material particular.(3) A person who contravenes subsection (2) is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding 100 penalty units.
