In addition to any functions imposed on it under any other Act, the Board has the following functions:
(a) to promote the prevention of injuries and disease at workplaces and the development of healthy and safe workplaces;
(b) to inquire into and report to the Minister on any matter relating to this Act referred to it by the Minister;
(c) to make recommendations to the Secretary on any matter relating to this Act referred to it by the Secretary;
(d) to make recommendations to the Minister or the Secretary with respect to such matters as it considers necessary for the purposes of this Act.
