(1) An employer carrying on work at a designated workplace must notify the Director, in a form approved by the Director, of the name of the person appointed as the responsible officer under section 10.
Penalty:
Fine not exceeding 25 penalty units.
(2) The responsible officer at a designated workplace is to –
(a) hold such qualifications as are prescribed; or
(b) ensure that a competent person employed by the employer who holds those qualifications is appointed to assist the responsible officer to carry out his or her functions under this Act.
