WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT 1995 - SECT 13

13. Duties of self-employed persons

A self-employed person must ensure that, so far as is reasonably practicable, he or she and all other persons are not exposed to risks to their health or safety arising from work carried on at his or her workplace.

Penalty:

In the case of –

(a) a body corporate, a fine not exceeding 1 500 penalty units; and

(b) a natural person, a fine not exceeding 500 penalty units.
