Possession of motor vehicles
A commercial agent, or a commercial sub-agent, undertaking any activity of a commercial agent or any person referred to in section 41(1)(k) who takes possession of a motor vehicle within the meaning of the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 that is subject to a security interest must (a) inform a police officer; and(b) deliver or send by post, within 24 hours, to the nearest police station written particulars in duplicate of the motor vehicle.Penalty: In the case of (a) a body corporate, 500 penalty units; and(b) a natural person, 200 penalty units.
