Tasmanian Consolidated Acts
(1) The Commissioner, by notice served on the holder of a licence, may suspend the licence for a period not exceeding 90 days if satisfied that it is in the public interest to do so.
(2) If a court convicts a person of a prescribed offence or an offence under this Act, the court, in addition to imposing any penalty, may suspend the licence held by the person.
(3) A suspended licence ceases to have effect during the period of suspension.
(4) The suspension of a licence under subsection (1) takes effect on the date of service of the notice.
