RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT 2009 - SECT 29

Information affecting national or state security, defence or international relations

(1)  Information is exempt information if its disclosure under this Act would, or would be reasonably likely to –
(a) endanger the security of the Commonwealth or any State or Territory; or
(b) endanger the defence of the Commonwealth; or
(c) adversely affect the international relations of the Commonwealth; or
(d) divulge information about the location of a dangerous substance or dangerous goods.
(2)  In this section –
dangerous substance is a substance that has the potential to cause harm to persons, property or the environment because of one or more of the following:
(a) the chemical properties of the substance;
(b) the physical properties of the substance;
(c) the biological properties of the substance.
