POLLUTION OF WATERS BY OIL AND NOXIOUS SUBSTANCES ACT 1987 - SECT 28

28. Service of summonses

      (1) A summons to be served on the owner or master of a ship in respect of an offence against this Part may be served by serving it on the agent of the ship in any manner in which it might have been served on the owner or master under this Part.

      (2) A summons served on an agent of a ship pursuant to subsection (1) shall be deemed to have been served on the owner or master of the ship.
