(2) The surrender or cancellation of a permit, lease, or licence as to
all or some of the blocks in the permit area, lease area, or licence area has
effect on and from the day on which notice of the surrender or cancellation is
published in the Gazette .
(3) The surrender or cancellation of a pipeline licence as to the whole
or a part of the pipeline has effect on and from the day on which notice of
the surrender or cancellation is published in the Gazette .
(4) A variation of a licence or pipeline licence has effect on and from
the day on which notice of the variation is published in the Gazette .
