PERSONAL INFORMATION PROTECTION ACT 2004 - SECT 7
Division 2 - Exemptions Courts and tribunals
The following are exempt from the provisions of this Act:(a) a court or tribunal in the performance or exercise of judicial or quasi-judicial functions or powers;(b) the holder of a judicial or quasi-judicial office or other office pertaining to a court or tribunal in the capacity of the holder of that office;(c) the Solicitor-General appointed and holding office under the Solicitor-General Act 1983 ;(d) any person employed in relation to the functions of the Solicitor-General;(e) the Director of Public Prosecutions appointed and holding office under the Director of Public Prosecutions Act 1973 ;(f) any person employed in relation to the functions of the Director of Public Prosecutions;(g) the registry or other office of a court or tribunal in relation to any matter relating to the judicial or quasi-judicial functions of that court or tribunal;(ga) the Integrity Commission;(h) any person employed in such a registry or other office in relation to any such matter.
